Kidz Superfood is the Best Multivitamin
Parents ask me all the time what my opinion is about giving kids/toddlers multivitamins. Most multi vitamins for kids are synthetic,
often times full of sugar, hard to absorb and might do more harm than good. There are some companies that provide food-based multis which are definitely better for absorption, however, extracted vitamins can’t replace the fiber and nutrients that comes with eating whole foods like fruits and vegetables.
I understand that kids don’t always eat the variety of foods that they should and in some cases supplementation is necessary. For example my son right now only wants raw carrots, cucumber and corn on the veggies side and apples and bananas on the fruit side. Obviously that is not enough of a balance and it would make me a bit more concerned if I didn’t have something to give him to make up for the veggies and fruits he is not eating. I have given my son
by Amazing Grass since he was one and in my opinion it is the best whole food multi out there. It is tasty & raw, made of 33 dried organic fruits and veggies along with dried barley grass and spirulina and only1 gram of sugar per serving. They make a chocolate and berry flavor which are both delicious even with just water or milk.
This powder is a convenient way for kids of all ages, including adults, to get more high quality fruits and veggies everyday. I add 1/3 scoop to my son’s bottle three times per day and he loves it. He will actually get into the container with a spoon if I don’t watch him and eat it plain
Plus I add about 1/3 scoop to my husband’s and my green drink for the yummy flavor and extra nutrients ( it is great mixed with Matcha green tea powder, coconut water/water, stevia and vanilla – my afternoon drink)
