The New Staple Food in My Kitchen!
Yes, I have a new favorite addition to my daily must-haves – Brad’s Raw Chips. I know that I pride myself in making my own dehydrated
raw chips but these are lighter, crispier and just plain yummy! I have never been able to make dehydrated chips so thin and crunchy while being strong enough to dip into guacamole. This was an important find because chips and guac is my FAVORITE snack/meal!
I am usually the odd health fanatic who loves anything raw/sprouted and dehydrated simply because I know they are far superior in nutrients, digestibility and enzymes. But Brad’s chips can be loved by the whole family. I received my box of goodies yesterday and my 2 year old son was the first to grab the bag of Sweet Potato Chips, tear it open, devour about ¼ of the bag immediately and say “Good Yummy Mama”. I was pretty happy to hear that because lately he doesn’t want to touch my dehydrated crackers – maybe he needed a bit of variety. J Then my husband came home, who is not the biggest fan of dehydrated crackers and chips, and wound up eating the entire bag of the Hot Beet Chips which are a bit spicy but good from jalapeño peppers. He dipped them into guacamole and salsa – so delicious and these raw chips actually worked in place of the traditional hard fried chip.
I too enjoyed the Sweet Potato and Beet flavored Chips but my favorites are the last 2 bags which are all for me. J These flavors are the Red Bell Pepper and Kale Chips. Oh so good. My son and I had a late morning snack of sliced goat cheese over the Red Bell Pepper chips – it was a great flavor combo. Then I grabbed the bag of Kale chips on my way out the door this afternoon and finished 2/3 of the bag while waiting at the DMV – they saved me! I am saving the rest for dinner tomorrow – Planning to crumble them over salad.
Let’s talk about the nutrition side: Aside from the flavor, what I love about these chips is that they are gluten free, raw, sprouted, dehydrated under 115 to preserve the raw enzymes, packed with healthy fats and protein, made with Himalayan sea salt and made from local organic ingredients. Plus I think the packaging is great – a resealable and recyclable brown paper-type bag which is earth friendly.
The base ingredients for each flavor of chips include sprouted buckwheat, flax seeds, fresh veggies, Himalayan Sea Salt, fresh herbs and extra virgin olive oil. The Sweet Potato flavor is slightly sweet, the Hot Beet is spicy, the Kale is simple and hearty in flavor and the Red Bell Pepper has a nice sweet pepper flavor that would go with any dip!
For those concerned about their weight, diabetes, IBS, Candida or simply want good energy and health Brad’s Chips are a perfect match. As I have always said, natural sprouted carbs and fats won’t make you gain weight – they actually do the opposite and help with natural sustained weight loss, cleansing and daily elimination. On that note – I thought it was great that this company was born from a man who was overweight, had high cholesterol, low energy and didn’t sleep well who went on a mostly raw food diet and lost 40 pounds and reversed his health concerns. These chips were born out of his experience and drive to share health with others.
Where to purchase? Unfortunately they have not yet reached the west coast and are mainly on the east coast. They can be bought online and their prices are good compared to most dehydrated products at Whole Foods and other health food stores.

Great. But are they going to send me to the poorhouse to eat these lovelies? Granted, I too love to snack, and these sound most delicious..
