Bio-K’s New Organic Rice-based Probiotic

Bio-Kis one of my favorite probiotic companies on the market.  This company has been around for many years offering either the dairy-based or soy-based liquid probiotic culture.  At a health convention last month I was able to try their newest variety which is fermented rice-based and for the first time organic.  It tastes great and works quickly on the digestive tract.

Here is a quote from the book “Probiotics, The Key to digestive Health“… “Probiotic is the term used to describe the billions of “friendly” live bacteria that grow naturally in the intestinal tract.  These friendly microorganisms colonize the gut early in life, but they can be destroyed or depleted as we age as well as by changed in diet, stress and other lifestyle shifts”.

Probiotics have been used for health and treating the GI tract (gastrointestinal tract) for over two decades.  The more our bodies are depleted of probiotics from lifestyle, pharmaceutical drugs, etc. the more we need to replenish our system with this wonderful friendly bacteria.  Whether you have IBS, gas, bloating, acid reflux, candida, indigestion or even the common cold, probiotics can be very helpful and healing.  Even during my first trimester of pregnancy, drinking one BioK per day did wonders for my morning sickness, which I had 24/7!  Don’t forget that you can give acidophilus/probiotic cultures to your babies/toddlers/kids for tummy aches and other digestive related disorders – my son absolutely loves to drink Bio-K!

Here are some facts about Bio-K’s probiotic formula:

  • 50 billion live and active bacteria per bottle (this is one of the only raw forms on the market where most probiotic supplements have been dried into a powder which eliminates up to half of its potency, creating a weaker product that is not “active”).
  • Their patented formula L acidophilus + L casei works synergistically with the intestinal tract creating a healthier and stronger atmosphere.
  • 100% gluten and GMO free, no antibiotic residues, pesticides, hormones nor heavy metals.
