Are you eating “Frankenfood”?
Have any of you been following the growth of genetically modified crops? It is disturbing that in 2009 91%% of soybeans, 35% of canola and 85% of corn were genetically modified. They are calling these engineered foods “Frankenfood”, and rightly so!!
This type of technology has been rejected in European countries while it has been increasing in North and South America. Last year, according to a report in USA Today, “330 million acres of biotech crops were planted in 25 countries” and “The USA is the biggest adopter, growing 158 million acres”.
China has now approved GMO rice and corn, so between the growth of US and China GMO foods, be careful to only buy Organic/Non GMO. Engineered foods are harmful to your organs and toxic! This blog today is just a call out to be aware of the foods you are buying and realize that almost every pre-packaged food has some form of corn, soy or canola in it and unless it says organic or non-gmo, you can pretty much guarantee you are eating genetically engineered foods.
