Kid’s Snack Favorite: Roasted Seaweed
Sea’s Gift makes a tasty snack that is healthy, rich in minerals and not to filling for kids and adults. It is
simply roasted seaweed (nori sheets) with sesame oil and sea salt. This has become my son’s FAVORITE snack and he would eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner if he could!
I was in shock when I saw toddlers at the playground eating entire packs in minutes if these roasted seaweed packs. One of the mom’s let Ayden have a taste and he wasn’t so sure about it. I went ahead and bought a pack for him at Whole Foods and after two tastes he lit up! He now stuffs an entire sheet in his mouth at a time. This made me so happy because he is not crazy about green veggies right now but seaweed is also a good source of calcium, iron, Vitamins A and C.
They are also inexpensive compared to health bars and other processed snacks. One package is between seventy and eighty cents so I grab seven to ten packs a week and he is set on snacks for the week.
The Japanese call nori seaweed “Sea’s Gift” because it is so nutritious and is a true gift to the body.
