Is Your Bottled Water Acidic?
Bottled water is an $11 billion dollar industry, with sales increasing 60% in the last 6 years! Just because
water is in a decorative bottle doesn’t mean that it is pure and healthy. Ideally, you want to drink water that is at least neutral (PH of 7) or alkaline (as high as 9.5). I came across a great chart that displays the PH levels of most common beverages and bottled water companies in the market for 2008.
The PH level is simply how acidic or alkaline the product is. I know I spend a lot of time talking and educating on the importance of alkalizing your body – It is probably one of the top 5 things you can do for optimal health! Your body strives to be about 7.3 to 7.4 on the ph scale, which is slightly alkaline. If you are drinking acidic water (under 7.0) all day, no matter how alkaline your foods are, it will be very tough to be alkaline. Don’t forget…your body is 70% or more water so make it alkaline!
